Abigail Breslin is Kit Kittredge in this movie based on the popular American Girl books. In this movie Kit is faced with the reality of the Depression and the impact it has on not only her family but other people as well. When there is a crime committed at her house she gets to use her investigation abilities to solve the case. Breslin is always a joy to watch and this movie is no different. A good movie about a tough time in history, but done in a way appropriate for a younger audience.

88 Minutes

Al Pacino plays a forensic psychiatrist whose testimony in court is key in giving a serial killer the death sentence. On the day he is supposed to die a copycat killer shows up making everyone doubt whether they are executing the right guy. The same day Pacino gets a call saying he has 88-minutes to live. Not Pacino's best but a pretty good thriller.

Get Smart

In this movie based on the 60's TV show Steve Carell plays Maxwell Smart a kind of dorky agent wanna-be who just can't make the cut. When things go terribly wrong at the agency he finally gets his chance to go into the field and prove what he can do. Carell is the perfect choice for this role and with all the other great stars cast it is a really funny movie that is totally worth watching.

Nancy Drew

The famous young detective from the Nancy Drew novels comes to the big screen in this film. Even though Nancy Drew promises her dad she will take a break from detective work, when they decide to take a trip to Hollywood she can't resist staying in the home of one of the most famous unsolved murders of all time. She is torn between wanting to keep her promise to her dad and doing what she does best. Not great acting, but a family friendly film.
