Bride Wars

Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson star in this movie about 2 best friends who are both engaged to be married and whose weddings are accidentally booked on the same day. Common sense says one of them would have to change the date, but unfortunately if they do they cannot have their dream wedding location. A war begins between the two brides. I know this was supposed to be really funny, but it was so over the top I have to admit by the end of the movie I didn't like either one of them.

27 Dresses

This is the story of Jane (Katherine Heigl) who is so busy planning other people's weddings that she is not really living her own life. She is secretly in love with her boss and when her sister goes after him and a reporter wants to do a story about how many weddings she has been involved in things start to unravel. This probably would not have been an enjoyable movie if Heigl were not the star, but I enjoyed it because she made it fun to watch.
